Our gifted friend Nate Strubhar is getting into photography (his wife has an existing photography business) and we gladly modeled for him the other week.
Nate had the great idea to shoot at La Perouse Bay. Which is the site of the last lava flow on Maui back in the 18th century. The stuff that looks like wet tilled up dirt in the background of the pictures is actually really sharp, pumice like lava rock.
The bay is named after Jean François de Galaup, comte de Lapérouse, a French Navy officer, who was the first European to set foot on the island of Maui.
